Tinashe Ziswa is an award winning documentary filmmaker and journalist based in Harare, Zimbabwe. His first film production was a short film titled Dream in 2012 in which he directed and wrote and since then has created content for festivals, cooperates, ZBC, DSTV and NGOs news agencies such as Euronews and Al jazeera . He has a Certificate in screenwriting from Relativity Workshops in Los Angeles, USA. He is passionate about African stories especially Zimbabwean stories and through Tall Grass Media aims to tell the African perspective while also working with other filmmakers to share knowledge and resources. His latest work focuses documentaries revolving around climate change and food security in remote locations which struggle with resources.

Due to climate change, agricultural-based livelihoods in Zimbabwe are becoming increasingly unreliable. As a result, poverty is increasing and there is a need for alternative sources of income. The ZRBF-BRACT project introduced vocational skills training for young people, with a focus on practical, hands-on learning of business skills. The training is provided through apprenticeships and includes business development services that help young people to start their businesses. By providing an alternative source of income, the training helps young people to build their resilience to the impacts of climate change.
Rural communities are vulnerable and poor because they lack access to income among other limitations. The ZRBF BRACT project has helped to promote community-based businesses in rural areas that can improve people's access to income, job creation, labour saving and increased productivity. The project has supported entrepreneurs with financial and technical support to overcome business development challenges, such as lack of access to markets and limited processing capacity. The project has also supported target communities to increase access to financial services, which can help to make their businesses more sustainable and resilient. This has positively impacted their ability to withstand shocks and stresses.

Celebrity chef, De Ankara, takes a trip down memory lane with traditional seed custodians and farmers from Zimbabwe's rural Bikita district who are reviving a lost seed variety known locally as Svoboda (Barnyard Millet). The seed custodians prepare a delicious meal made from this millet for De Ankara to taste.
Indigenous crops and wild plants can contribute to strengthening resilience and improving diets, incomes, and biodiversity for rural communities. Wild forest products or non-timber forest products (NTFP) are products other than timber obtained from forests. They include fruits and nuts, vegetables, medicinal plants, insects, resins, barks, fibers and grasses.
The BMZ-funded ‘Building Inclusive, Diverse, and Valuable Food Systems in Mudzi and Rushinga, Zimbabwe/ Pundutso’ project (2022-25) encourages cultivation of white sorghum, bambara nuts and rosella, and wild harvesting of mobola plum and marula, for local use and sale.
To prove amazing food can be prepared from these traditional ingredients, even in rural settings, celebrity chef Taf Anifasi aka De AnkarrA Chef visited the homesteads of three farmers and prepared a dish with each of them, featuring the project’s focal crops and using only other ingredients sourced locally.
