As a Political Analyst, he often appears on Republic, Times Now, Zee India, NewsX, India News, and other TV channels. Assault While covering 2017 parliamentary elections in Budgam, Kashmir, Peer Viqar Ul Aslam was held on gun point by a Special Operational Group officer of Jammu and Kashmir Police, and in an attempt to flee from the spot was badly wounded by stones pelted at the government forces in the area. Activism In 2016, soon after the killing Hizbul Mujahideen Commander Burhan Wani, hundreds of youth in Indian administered Kashmir were hit by pellets fired by Jammu and Kashmir Police and Central Reserve Police Force.
